JOB TITLE	Cutting Press Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION	Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Convert work-in-process loads from the printing department from sheeted stock to individual cartons. This process periodically requires the lifting and movement of many heavy job-related tools and requires troubleshooting various issues as they arise. Managing time on the machine to maximize efficiency while completing all procedures and documentation regarding the cutting process in a safe manner. Safe Quality Foods Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods. Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures. Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required. Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF). Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation. Quality Ensures all products are manufactured to company/customer specifications Documents all defects in GainSeeker and place them in the appropriate area Verifying the correct stack and layer count on each job Changing knives and scores as needed Accurately reporting Downtime Processed scrap Issue and reversal of loads Confirmation of loads Obtain needed materials Have all required tooling staged and ready Assist with the Make Ready process Troubleshoot issues regarding cutting off, feeder trips and piling up of waste Other duties assigned Perform preventative maintenance as required Report damaged goods to CI Mentor/training others to perform this job duty Perform Daily Housekeeping tasks Daily pallet jack inspection Sweeping designated department/area Emptying recycling bins Greasing stripper/blanker bushings Paint cutter and other areas of the department as needed Ensure that New Hires or General Helpers assigned to the equipment are correctly/effectively trained to perform task meant to maintain a running cutter.
REQUIRED SKILLS	Position Requirements: High school diploma or GED Self-Motivated Problem solving/critical thinking Organizational skills Work well with others Desired Qualifications: Display work habits that set an example for peers. Prior manufacturing experience Work with others to help improve efficiency in various tasks In the event of absence, the Cutting Lead and/ or Cutting Aerator(s) would backfill this role. The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.   Graphic Packaging retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS	Physical Demands: Must be in good physical condition. Proper lifting techniques. More than 50 lbs require a team lift. Requires extended amounts of time bending, pulling, walking, standing and lifting.
