Title:  Maintenance Supervisor

- Provide direct supervision, technical direction, administrative support, and leadership to the maintenance department.

 

- Prioritizes and assigns work orders for completion.
- Be part of an after-hours on call rotation.
- Assists in the development, implementation, and execution of predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance programs.
- Ensures machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate
- Assist with the management of plant-wide maintenance and capital, maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost effectiveness with available resources
- Assist in the management of plant environmental programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations
- Assist in the development, implementation, and oversee predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance programs
- Coaches and develops training plans for all maintenance technicians
- Provide direct supervision, technical direction, administrative support, and leadership for the maintenance department with ability to make decisions on own.
- Determines if maintenance activity will be done by in house resources or by an outside contractor.
- Obtains quotes and estimates costs for maintenance activities.
- Requisitions materials and supplies such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts for maintenance activities.
- Trains maintenance employees in methods, procedures, and use of equipment and work aids, such as blueprints, hand tools, and test equipment including off shifts.
- Observes maintenance employees in work area and examines tools and equipment to detect unsafe conditions or violations of safety rules.
- Recommends or initiates personnel actions and ensures policies are followed in such as performance reviews and corrective action.
- Serves as Back-up Die Supervisor.
- Oversees project planning and execution for facility, equipment, and process improvements.
- Participates in identifying hiring needs, employee selection, and training.
- Provides communication and motivation to maintenance team members by conveying departmental expectations and opportunities for improvements.
- Provides team leadership consistent with company vision, mission, core values, and culture.
- Ensures finished work is completed within both schedule and budgetary constraints.
- Establishes individual goals for team members in alignment with the overall organization goals.
- Instills professionalism and teamwork within the maintenance department through mentoring, leadership, and actions.
- Provides a safe and productive work environment utilizing lean manufacturing tools.
- Participates in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
- Processes SAP notifications, including work orders, revision updates and TECO.

Required Skills

- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet research skills.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- PLC programming experience is preferred.


Required Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred or equal work experience.

- 1-3 years of related maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.
