  • Manage, oversee and purchase the timely arrival of raw materials (corrugate, pallets etc) to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
  • Supervise hourly direct reports.

 

  • Assist with board analysis and procure timely to meet customer demand.
  • Coordinates scheduling of all machines, processes and production activities within the plant. Responsible for customer on-time shipment performance.

 

  • Monitor the production processes and ensure schedule adjustments are made as needed.
  • Recommends and assists the Production Control Manager for short-term / long-term capacity requirements planning.
  • Ensures adequate plant inventory levels for work-in-process and finished goods, optimizes inventory investments in relationship to plant efficiencies and scrap rates.
  • Coordinates information flow to the operating departments via production schedules.
  • Processes orders and creates schedules for equipment.
  • Updates daily schedule to balance efficiencies and customer needs.
  • Maintains work in progress inventories to maximize inventory turns and productivity.
  • Ensures scheduling maintains shipping commitments for effective service to all customers and advise sales of any unplanned delays. Coordinates with shipping department to meet customer needs.

 

  • Maintain positive relationships between Customer Service, Production Departments, Sales, Suppliers, and the Customer.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.

 

 

  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Reporting of any customer complaints to persons responsible to enter into GPI’s Customer Complaint system for root cause analysis and appropriate corrective action taken.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

Required Skills

  • Bachelors’ degree in related field.
  • 5 years manufacturing experience in flexible packaging preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Highly organized and able to train in specialized scheduling training in planning and layout.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • ERP system experience required; SAP preferred.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.


Required Experience
