Title:  Die Maker

Summary: The Die Maker is accountable for all die making activity for Vancouver and Gresham plants. This entails conversion of die line files to die cutter ready die tooling.


Duties and Responsibilities - include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Handle some incoming die room requests
  • Program some die tooling using CAD Software
  • Know and use all major software
  • Quality Check all one die tooling
  • Output necessary files for routing & rule bending process
  • Set up jobs to cut on die routing table
  • Ensure calibration of machinery
  • Assemble die tooling
  • Complete jobs in timely fashion
  • Prioritize die tooling production
  • Department housekeeping
  • Continually improve work flow process
  • Work closely with the CAD department
  • Work closely with the die cutting department


Skills and Knowledge:

  • Die making or die cutting experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of Artios CAD software or other die making software
  • Ability to read a blueprint/CAD drawing and build tooling accordingly
  • Ability to create PDF documents


Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 12-hours.
  • Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment
  • Must be able to work 8 or 12 hour shifts plus overtime as required
  • Must be able to work any shift (days/swing)
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
