Position Purpose - Supports Productions operations by operating case erector equipment and creating secondary packaging.

Procedures are well established. Supervisor readily available as needed.


  • Observes company safety rules and complies with safety practices.
  • Build cases and secondary packaging based production demands using assigned equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate issues as they occur.
  • Research and update files, dies and material as needed.
  • Operates assigned equipment in a safe and efficient manner and is responsible for shift production.
  • Has good working knowledge of computer-controlled equipment.
  • Notifies management of potential problems and offers solutions to same.
  • Displays work habits that set example for peers.
  • Trains new employees in proper operating procedure.
  • Performs general housekeeping functions in assigned areas.
  • Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employee must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of AIB/5S and other company standards.
  • Must be supportive of GPI’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values (Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork).
  • Must be supportive and involved in GPI efforts for LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes.

Wage: Starting at $19.72 base $1.00 Shift Differential, Automatic raises every 3 months during your first year, annual raises thereafter - Rate at one year: $22.56, $1.00 Shift Differential

This position has the opportunity to develop into a Sr. Case Erector with a top out rate of $26.84

Hours: 12 Hour Shift, Rotation every 6 weeks

7:00 pm - 7:00 am (Sunday night - Thursday morning)

7:00 pm - 7:00 am (Tuesday night - Saturday morning)

Required Skills

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Mechanical/technical aptitude
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to work safely
  • Ability to work with others
  • Must be flexible; willing to work other shifts, overtime and weekends
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Possess a strong work ethic.

Physical/Mental Requirements

Occasional physical effort (continuous or prolonged standing/ bending, etc.) required. Work environment involves constant exposure to adverse conditions such as dust, noise, fumes, weather, poor lighting, or heavy machinery/equipment.
