Graphic Packaging currently has a Finishing Manufacturing Manager position available in our Kalamazoo Carton facility. The right candidate for this position must have ‘change agent’ qualities that support rapid implementation of process changes targeting higher production efficiencies with the safety of our employees and quality of our products at the forefront. This position is further responsible for ensuring management's consistent execution of the collective bargaining agreement, adherence to company policy, and implementing initiatives that include employee communication, performance management, and a variety of other activities. 



  • Leading manufacturing improvement
  • Ensures all raw materials, supplies and parts are available to meet production demand
  • Ensures planned KPI’s are met for department, if not follows up on any countermeasures that need implemented.
  • Training and leadership of employees in a participative, continuous improvement environment
  • Daily production management in a high speed manufacturing facility (24/7)
  • Support scheduling and inventory directives
  • Coordination of maintenance activities and schedules
  • Product quality standards
  • Safety process management
  • Productivity management and process improvement
  • Supervisor training and leadership



  • Strong business operations knowledge
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Management, or similar discipline preferred; or compensatory closely related work experience in lieu of degree
  • 5-7 years supervisory/leadership experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of LEAN manufacturing processes
  • Excellent, highly developed people and communication skills
  • 3-5 years management/technical experience preferred with Folding Cartons (printing, gluing, etc.) preferred



  • General schedule is day shift M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends.
  • Must be able to respond to issues on all shifts to support supervisors if needed.



  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
  • Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds – office supplies, binders
  • Reading of computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment such as staplers and paper punch.
  • Ability to work in production area around high speed equipment and conveyor systems.
