We are a 100% recycled food service carton manufacturing facility seeking candidates to join our Kalamazoo, MI Carton Team. Material Handler Job Summary:

Drives liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, clamps, elevating platform to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.

Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus
• Positions forks, clamp, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products or rolls and transports load to designated area
• Loads, unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed
• Records load information into computer, labels, or production schedules
• Loads or unloads material onto or off of pallets, skids or lifting device
• Scans loads into location
• Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank

Qualification Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent attendance, be able to work independently and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Education and/or Experience:

• Previous forklift, clamp truck, or other PIV experience Preferred

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

 80 hours of work in a 2 week work period plus scheduled mandatory overtime or voluntary overtime as needed.

• Rotating 12 hour shifts (7:00 to 7:00)
  • 12-hour days (7:00am – 7:00pm) - rotating shift pattern of 2-2-3
  • 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am) - rotating shift pattern of 2-2-3
  • Crew changes from days to nights every 28 days.
• Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends
