The Operations Manager role is responsible to plan, direct and manage production operations, which includes multiple departments. This role will be focused on achieving operation goals and objectives consistent with Plan and Division expectations. This role will also support and assist the Plant Manager in everyday operation of the facility. 

Job Functions: 

  • Directs the manufacture of all products at lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity
  • Develops, recommends, and implements operating policies and supervises the application of such policies
  • Coordinates and collaborates with all departments of the plant in establishing and carrying out responsibilities
  • Manages employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance
  • Provides leadership directed at continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
  • Provides leadership and direction to production management and employees to continuously improve quality, reduce waste and increase throughput
  • Assists and supports plant manager in all aspects

Required Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
  • Must have 8 or more years experience in a folding carton packaging industry or similar manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Superior management/leadership skills
  • Foresight, creativity, sense of urgency, and good organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet research skills
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
