MISSION / SUMMARY:

The position of journeyman millwright is to provide skilled trade expertise along with multi-craft work experience to the Board Mill.  

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman status or greater of millwright trade

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Basic fabrication skills
• Leadership skills
• Working knowledge of pumps & gearboxes
• Troubleshoot & maintain power transmission equipment
• Preferred welding experience
• Read & understand with practical knowledge mechanical drawings
• Removal & installation of bearings
• Hydraulic knowledge
• Alignment of equipment
• Rigging skills
• Papermill experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability and desire to work in team environment

SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

• Per our CBA ability to work multi-schedules
• Must be able to work rotating weekends.
• Must be willing and available to work either day shift or 4 crew scheduling. 
• Flexible work schedule to meet demands of current course load.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Standing for extended periods.
• Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
• Moving or lifting of equipment, materials, and tools up to 50 lbs repeatedly for an 8 hr. shift.
• Climbing extension ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or movement within

confined areas.

• Work in buildings and areas of fluctuating temperature and weather.
• Job requires exposure to weather, dirt, grease, fumes and heat.
