Title:  Store Coordinator

We are looking for someone like you, who has a passion for safety, who is a self-starter, who takes initiative, who can communicate well with team members, and who can work independently in a manufacturing environment. You will understand and align business operations with your core job functions and execute within your roll to exceed customer expectations. You will be part of the team that drives for a safe work place, for continuous improvement, and for success, while supporting the GPI business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives.

The Store Coordinator works with the maintenance and production departments to obtain necessary equipment, material, supplies, or tools to repair, operate and maintain equipment. The Store Coordinator will oversee the inventory control of these articles in the storage crib and will manage the ordering of materials and supplies for all office personnel. 

  • Procures, receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, or tools
  • Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming materials and supplies to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices
  • Examines incoming materials and supplies to verify conformance to order specifications
  • Expedites shipment of critical materials and supplies as needed
  • Distribute stock among production, maintenance, and office workers, keeping records of material issued
  • Cycle Counts: Performs periodic audits of product movement and inventory location to ensure accuracy
  • Manages inventory levels of materials and supplies stored in storage crib, including adjustments to minimum re-order points based on usage
  • Responsible for identifying obsolete parts and researching suitable replacements
  • Populate/modify equipment BOMs
  • Build kits
  • Manages vendor/outside repairs
  • May determine methods of storage, stock identification, and stock location, taking into account temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor load capacities, and required space
  • Stores stock in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material
  • Materials or storage locations with identifying codes using labeling equipment
  • May transport material or supplies to other departments using hand truck or fork truck
  • Oversees supplier selection
  • Evaluates supplier performance
  • Advises management as to changing market / supplier conditions
  • Authorizes payment of invoices or return of material and supplies

 


Required Skills

  • High School Diploma, GED
  • Computer Skills: SAP, SRM, MS Office, and database programs
  • Requires use of all general office equipment (e.g. fax, copier, telephone, etc.)
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Detail oriented, self-starter, organized
  • Ability to work overtime (greater than 40 hours per week)
  • On call resource for parts and packaging materials (after hours and weekends as needed)

Required Experience

  • 1-3 years of related purchasing experience in a manufacturing or inventory supply store required, converting facility is preferred
