Summer Internship


This position will focus on reducing unscheduled downtime on equipment and improve overall equipment reliability, in addition to elimination of process waste and quality defects. 


Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to identify root cause and determine corrective actions to prevent recurrence of equipment failure.

Lead one or more projects that will be started and completed within the summer.


Assist in writing standard operating procedures.

JOB FUNCTIONS Possible Projects based on Intern’s Major / Area of Concentration:

  • Update electrical schematics and clean panels.
  • Assist in the design and build of simple testing stations.
  • Assist in the design and build of electro/mechanical stations.
  • Conduct presentation at the end of the internship with overview of completed projects. 
  • High School Diploma, GED
  • Currently working on undergraduate, four-year Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical)
  • Preferred experience: Manufacturing
  • Proficient with MicroSoft Office, Outlook ,and internet research skills
  • Requires use of all general office equipment (e.g. fax, copier, telephone, etc.)
  • Proven track record of identifying opportunities and the ability to recommend and implement improvements
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and influence others
  • Needs to be a self-starter, self-directed, and willingness to take action to move forward with ideas.
