POSITION PURPOSE

This position serves as a Finance presence at the converting locations.  The IPR is primarily responsible for the accuracy of production data and inventory reporting, including managing the corrections of any errors reported and completing the final review prior to submitting for financial review.  This role ensures that underlying data on inventory and production value is accurate in the financial results of the company.

This is accomplished through:

  • reviewing all completed work orders for accuracy, correcting inaccuracies and completing the final step prior to financial auditing;
  • Managing daily inventory cycle counts and monitoring SAP for inventory inaccuracies;
  • Reporting production information on a daily and monthly basis,

 

JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain 90% compliance rating between actual shop floor reporting and the division policies.
  • Partner with Operational Leadership team to create action plan when compliance rating is below 90%.
  • Reviews and closes all production orders.
  • Identifies and corrects transactional errors for production related entries found in SAP (i.e. End of Shift Reports). Reports error findings to plant management and partners with them to develop Corrective Action Plan.
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert and trainer for plant employees on SAP and PEAK. Trains employees on correct ways to utilize and accurately enter data into software.
  • Manages daily cycle counts for raw materials and finished goods by auditing the physical counts to the system quantities and examining/reporting any variances found.
  • Manages consignment inventory by performing/auditing monthly inventory count, comparing incoming inventory to previous month end numbers and determining period usage.
  • Coordinate/perform annual physical inventory at off-site warehouses as requested by AMC Finance. 
  • Processes inventory adjustments when needed to reflect overruns, quality issues, phantom inventory, etc. once approved by plant management or Finance.
  • Ensures accuracy of Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods Inventory balances and quantities.
  • Reports production information on a daily basis to Finance and Plant Management.
  • Perform IPR responsibilities at any location when required. Requires understanding of all manufacturing processes.
  • Completes other tasks as requested by the Finance Department.
  • Completes other tasks as requested by Plant Management, if approved by the Finance Department.

  • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or similar discipline preferred.
  • 2-4 years of manufacturing experience, including 2 or more years in inventory control and production reporting preferred.
  • Approximately 10% travel required.
  • ERP Experience; SAP preferred
  • Strong computer skills including SAP, Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and database programs.
  • Requires use of all general office equipment (e.g. fax, copier, telephone, etc.)
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with shop floor personnel, plant management and Finance
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams and projects
