JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources coordinator serves as a key member of the Human Resources Team in providing excellent customer service and support to all hourly and salaried employees within the facility. Among other duties, the HR Coordinator provides administrative support and oversight to the recruitment and staffing / bidding process for all hourly employees. They understand and align business operations and Human Resources as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.


JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • Serves as a key member of the Human Resources Team in providing excellent customer service and support to all hourly and salaried employees within the facility.
  • Provides administrative support and oversight to recruitment and staffing / bidding process for all hourly employees.
  • Leads weekly staffing meetings with departments and ensures crewing remains within budgeted guidelines.
  • Assists with personnel records and updating databases with personnel information and disciplinary history.
  • Maintains and distributes current employee information, policy and procedure manuals, and other communications (including crewing notes and shift/department moves)
  • Ensures employee records are current in the payroll system until HRIS processes changes.
  • Participates in weekly orientation for new hires and fills in for temporary associate orientation as needed.
  • Responds to routine questions on human resources policies and procedures and identifies potential issues; serves as a resource to others in the resolution of personnel problems.
  • Supports various crewing / organizational projects across the plant.  
  • Ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations and GPI policies.
  • Willingness to flex schedule to support night shift employees as needed and weekend hiring events.
  • Facilitates change to improve system / process effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Assists in the planning and execution of all employee recognition / engagement activities for the plant



  • Previous HR experience and/or education
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft office programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Able to effective in teams




  • College degree or equivalent experience in human resources.



  • Sitting or standing, depending on changing job assignment, for extended periods.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
  • Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
