OPPORTUNITY: We are a folding carton manufacturing operation seeking candidates to join our Cup Department as a Warp Operator. WORK SCHEDULE: Night Shift 7:00 P.M. – 7:00 A.M. (either C or D shift)

Must be willing and able to work nights and weekends – $1.00/hour added for night shift differential! Opportunities to move to day shift schedule available!

 

JOB SUMMARY: Wrap Operators feed and pack product through the bagger and keep the cup machines running.   They monitor film levels, product quality and troubleshoot machines as needed. They fill-in for Cup Operators and Packers as needed and are required to follow Graphic Packaging International’s safety procedures and policies. They understand and align business operations and the Cup Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Follow production schedule.
  • Prepare 3 – 4 cup machines for production.
  • Startup machines.
  • Maintain machine fluid levels.
  • Troubleshoot machines.
  • Maintain settings for various prints.
  • Complete housekeeping duties.
  • Fill-in for other Cup Operators as needed.
  • Complete monthly cleaning duties per schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 -2 Manufacturing experience preferred

SKILLS:

  • Must be able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment 

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Schedules are up to 12-hour shifts on alternate days with rotating weekends off.  However, employees must have the ability to work alternate schedules and overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting or standing, depending on changing job assignment, for extended periods.
  • Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
  • Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
