Position Scope:

The Inventory and Production Reporting Specialist II is primarily responsible for the accuracy of production data and inventory reporting, including managing the corrections of any errors reported and completing the final review prior to submitting for financial review.  This role ensures that underlying data on inventory and production value is accurate in the financial results of the company.  This role manages a Tier I facility due to size and complexity.

 

Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

  • Ensures accuracy of Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods Inventory balances and quantities
  • Reviews and closes all production orders
  • Identifies and corrects transactional errors for production related entries found in local ERP system (i.e., End of Shift Reports).  Reports error findings to Plant Finance Lead and Plant Manager.  Partners with these individuals to develop Corrective Action Plan(s).
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trainer for plant employees on facility’s ERP system. Trains shop floor employees on correct ways to utilize and accurately enter data into software.
  • Manages daily cycle counts for raw materials and finished goods by auditing the physical counts to the system quantities and examining/reporting any variances found
  • Process inventory adjustments when needed to reflect overruns, quality issues, phantom inventory, etc. once approved by Plant Finance Lead.
  • Reports daily production information to Site Leadership Team (SLT)
  • Maintain >=90% compliance rating between actual shop floor reporting and the division policies for all Site Assessments
  • Partner with Site Leadership Team (SLT), primarily the Plant Controller, to create action plan(s) when compliance rating is below 90% on Site Assessments
  • Completes ad hoc reporting as requested by Manager or Matrix Manager

 

 

Job Requirements:

 
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or similar discipline preferred
  • 2 – 4 years of manufacturing experience, including 2 or more years in Inventory Control and Production reporting
  • 10% travel required
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • ERP experience

Pay Range:   $43,600.00 - $54,500.00
