POSITION PURPOSE
Instructions: State the general nature, level and purpose of the job including nature and frequency of supervision.

- Contributes to the effective operation of the Maintenance Department by implementation, expansion, and upkeep of the Predictive Maintenance Program (PDM).
- Works in conjunction with Maintenance Manager to coordinate repairs on equipment as needed for the reduction of unplanned downtime.
- Track and manage spare part usage in the CMMS
- Unpacks, inventories, and stock items
- Performs a variety of complex troubleshooting duties involving refrigeration, electrical, mechanical or other specialized areas.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Instructions: This portion should include Principal Duties and Responsibilities for a position. Include only those current duties and responsibilities that account for 5% or more of the work.
1. Implement, maintains, monitors, and updates the Maintenance CMMS to assure it is accurate and functional.
2. Works closely with Craftsmen and Tech’s to assign Work Orders for work to be completed.
3. Works with Maintenance Manager to schedule time for needed for machine repairs prior to breakdowns to reduce unscheduled downtime.
4. Reporting- must be able to develop and present reports concerning the progression of the PDM Program.
5. Maintains adequate records of work performed on equipment and corrective action taken.
6. Initiates Purchase Orders for repair parts or spare parts as needed, as well as initiating orders for parts to upgrade existing equipment.

9. Must be supportive of GPI’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values (Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork).
10. Must be supportive and involved in GPI efforts for LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma and other Continuous Improvement programs and processes.
11. Performs all other duties as assigned.
12. Strives to clearly understand customer requirements and delivers results to meet or exceed customer expectations.
13. Ability and responsibility to stop any process that is not meeting food safety requirements.
14. Ability and responsibility to stop any process that is not meeting customer quality requirements.
15. Serves as backup for the Maintenance Supervisor.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Instructions: Identify the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to perform the job competently. Make sure job specifications represent bona fide occupational qualifications.
- Technical School/1 Year College, and/or 3 to 5 years of experience is preferred.
- Specialized skills required are computer programming, complex mechanical systems, trending reports, and excellent communication abilities.
