Entry Level position. 3-2-2-3 shift. Every other weekend off!

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting the printing department by providing accurate quality and quantity of board stock for production jobs. Sheeter is responsible for moving large paper reams on an occasional basis.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Reviews material requisitions and produces sheets according to specifications such as caliper, roll width and board grade requested.
- Inspect incoming raw material board for shipping damage and wet stock and report damage to Department Manager.
- Adjust cutting blade as necessary to produce a clean cut, ream cut jobs as needed and operator the core-cutter.
- Perform quality checks and maintain documentation, including completion of production and hourly management reports.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and be able to diagnose, trouble shoot equipment by early detection and sound of machine while in operation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complies with all company and department safety, quality, productivity, and security procedures.
- Ensures total quality of the job while in operation, performs quality checks and accurate documentation.
- Maintains the machine and area in accordance with the standard operation procedures.
- May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and follow instructions.
- Ability to inspect roll stock for defects in grain of paper stock and/or damage to the rolls.
- Ability to measure tolerances and adhere to job specifications.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack to move material.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift or carry 10 to 25 pounds.
- Ability to regularly stand and use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts on alternate days with rotating weekends off.
- Must be flexible; able to work other shifts, overtime and weekends when needed.
Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred
- Work experience in manufacturing environment
- Previous experience as an operator working with high-speed equipment.
- SAP experience preferred.
