JOB SUMMARY: Safely and efficiently facilitates the printing, cutting, and packing processes of filter frame finished goods.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Adherence to all safety requirements.
  • Adherence to documented 5S/Housekeeping expectations.
  • Assist with daily quality checklist when inspecting pallets during cutting process. Perform both hourly hand checks and device driven score bend checks every 3 hours of run time, as instructed.
  • Verify current job specifications match current production to include board width and caliper, print quality, print color, filter frame layout, score bend within specification, pallet size and pallet count.
  • Before Make Ready – verify proper materials that match the job jacket are prepped and ready at the cutter – this includes die, spot sheet, pin cylinder, ink, plates, doctor blades, pans, pallets and rolls of paper.
  • Ability to run job with expected quality and rate with assistance.
  • Adhere to expectations surrounding safety, quality, and productivity. 
  • Train associates to assist in the required activities to maximize cutter uptime.
  • Assist on make ready activities.
  • Help record daily time and materials usage reports and records information for production tracking.
  • Perform hand packing with a critical eye for quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience operating hand jacks and forklifts preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent attendance, be able to work independently and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

 

SKILLS:

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

 

  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

  • REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

  • MECHANICAL

 

  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Company issued Fork Truck Operator’s License

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
    • Schedules are up to 12-hour shifts Mondays – Fridays. However, employees must have the ability to work alternate schedules and overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
