The Process Engineer provides technical support to the plant by coordinating trials, troubleshooting productivity issues and coordinating the adult training cycle including needs, documentation, scheduling training sessions and evaluation.  He/She identifies SME’s for the facilities departments and knowledge gaps within the Lawrenceburg facility.  This position will demand innovative solutions in new technologies as well as the transfer of these technologies to existing process and training methods.

Job Functions:

  • Comply with all company and department safety policies, procedures and programs.
  • Coordinate existing training programs, conduct facility-wide training needs assessment and identify skills and knowledge gaps that need to be addressed including determining appropriate training methods.
  • Design, develop and implement training programs (outsourced or in-house) including training materials and organizational aids.
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records.
  • Host train the trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts.
  • Identifies opportunities and direct efforts to improve existing processes to improve productivity, quality and/or reduce cost.
  • Manage testing in support of process improvements, new product development and other instances as required.
  • Identify and quantify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Lead or participate in design reviews as required.
  • Conduct process studies and/or recommend areas of investigation.
  • Actively participates in driving CI savings
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • Four-year degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering with training background, or closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Strong PC skills required including Microsoft office suite and SAP.
  • Prior Project Management experience a definite plus
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques.

  • Ability to think clearly and problem solve is a must.
  • Must be tolerant of fumes, dust, noise, and a hot and cold work environment
  • Must be capable to keeping up with technological advances.
  • Demonstrate initiative in problem solving issues surrounding area of responsibility.
  • Must have strong ability to oversee multiple projects ensuring tight deadlines are met.
