Under the direct supervision of the plant controller, the Accounting Coordinator supports the financial operations in the manufacturing plant by reconciling invoices, purchase orders, and check requests.   

 

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reconciling processed work by comparing vendor invoices to purchase order receipts
  • Performing data entry into system by vendor invoice number and PO
  • Manage non-PO check requests through Esker program
  • Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice and recording the entry
  • Responding to vendor inquiries regarding past due invoices and status of payment
  • Ensuring all invoices are entered timely and correctly
  • Communicating all discrepancies with purchasing department or requistioner/ management
  • Ensures accuracy of RM, WIP and Finished Goods Inventory balances and quantities
  • Reviews and closes all production orders
  • Manages daily cycle counts for raw materials and finished goods by auditing the physical counts to the system quantities and examining/reporting any variances found
  • Process inventory adjustments when needed to reflect overruns, quality issues, phantom inventory, etc. once approved by leadership and/or Finance
  • Manages consignment inventory by performing/auditing monthly inventory count, comparing incoming inventory to previous month end numbers and determining period usage 

 

Required Skills:

  • Familiar with standard AP processes
  • Ability to perform with sense of urgency to meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to use numerous computer programs including outlook, excel, SAP, etc
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to function both as valuable team member and to work independently as needed.
  • Good problem-solving skills

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Accounting Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Occasional ability to work additional hours (overtime).

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Must work in the plant location and available to work Monday-Friday 
  • Able to work 8 hours a day with OT
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs on occasion
  • Sitting or standing, depending on changing job assignment, for extended periods
  • Work in areas of fluctuating temperature
