The Converting Manager provides direction and management for the Printing Supervisory and production employees. Planning and controls production performance as measured against operating targets developed according to machine capabilities, staff capabilities and projected business.   Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and direct LDI process for department, including facilitation of Natural Management Team (NMT) and Natural Work Teams (NWT) meetings
  • Overall production management
  • Management of various plant wide programs
  • Facilitates improvement issues within the operations supervisory team
  • Coordination of various department & plant wide roll-outs
  • Identify capital improvement projects for the department
  • Monitors and consistently works toward process improvement and high quality results
  • Labor relations support & improvement
  • Employee development
  • Enforcement of all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • 3 - 5 years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing
  • Packaging background strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Word & Excel (Access & Visio experience a plus)
  • LEAN Six Sigma manufacturing experience desired 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
