Position 1: Lead Food Safety Pre Requisite programs and conduct employee training
- As HACCP Facilitator, he/she will develop and implement HACCP procedures and support the CI Manager in achieving departmental and plant Food Safety programs and goals. HACCP certification is required.
- As SQF Practitioner, he/she, while supported by CI Manager, will have full responsibility for the development and maintenance of SQF related documents and records including the development, implementation, review, maintenance, communications of the SQF system. Review and update training skills requirements for Safe Quality Foods and coordination of SQF type Root Cause / Corrective Actions activities. Actions include:
- This position has full responsibility and authority to oversee the development, implementation, review, maintenance, communication and integrity of the SQF system including Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Defense.
- Complete training in SQF Code current version - Food Safety Code for Manufacture of Food Packaging.
- Complete a HACCP Training course – as defined by SQF Code requirements
- Lead and train a multidisciplinary HACCP team to implement and maintain the HACCP and Food Safety plans.
- Update the Site Leadership team monthly on matters impacting the SQF system.
- Lead and coordinate the Annual plant review of the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) system in its entirety.
- Validation and Verification of SQF controls with determined frequency/schedule.
- Develop and maintain an internal audit /schedule, and Coordinate SQF third party audits.
- Responsible for coordination of SQF type Root Cause/ Corrective Actions activities
- Establish and maintain Methods/criteria for monitoring, sampling, inspecting, testing, and analyzing raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
- Review and update training skills requirements for Safe Quality Foods.
- Lead and coordinate the Annual plant review of Safe Quality Foods (SQF) system, internal audit schedule, and Coordinate SQF third party audits including validation and verification of SQF controls with determined frequency /schedule.
- Responsible for the development, implementation, review, maintenance, communications of the SQF system.
- Conduct employee quality training as required.
- Problem identification and data analysis.
- Monitor positive release and hold areas to meet customer shipments.
- Conduct audits of external storage warehouses.
- Maintain plant calibrations and equipment tracking.
- Responsible for running CI Quality Hold Reports and coordinating rework with shipment demands.
Position 2: Customer Specifications and Data Analysis.
- FTS representative assigned to attend new business meetings, transfer calls and post production follow up calls with new business teams.
- Responsible for development, maintenance and review of customer specifications.
- Maintain GainSeeker quality system and conduct employee training.
- Complete data analysis for month end customer reporting metrics.
- Data collection for customer trials, customer product returns, month-end data reporting into customer external data bases (ICIX, MC, AB, etc.) documentation of root cause and corrective actions, product dispositions.
- Lead CI SAP training and plant red hat.
- Manage corrugate specifications and packaging specifications in SAP.
- Assist A3 project leaders with story boards and project support.
- In the absence of either CI Quality Assistant, their job duties will be transferred to the other CI Quality Assistant.
Part II – Job Functions
- Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
- Enters vendor complaints into SAP and sends samples and arranges disposition once complaint has been approved (board, corrugate, etc.)
- Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
- Directly involved in responsibilities /actions related to Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs.
- Reporting of any customer complaints to persons responsible to enter into GPI’s Customer Complaint system for root cause analysis and appropriate corrective action taken.
- Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
- Support regulatory and customer audit preparations
- Conduct defect training with production employees as required
- CI auditor, specification and customer visit back up.
- Performs other organizational duties and clerical duties as required
- In the absence of CI Assistant, daily duties will be transferred to another CI Assistant or CI Manager.
