Position Scope: Coordinates the daily activities of personnel and process in the storeroom.  The Storeroom Coordinator works closely with the Storeroom Supervisor to ensure materials are ordered, received, handled, stored and shipped in accordance to departmental procedures.

 

JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

 

  • Performs the duties as defined under the Storeroom Supervisor position in the event of his/her absence
  • Coordinates and orders departmental supplies as needed
  • Manage MRP (inventory) daily report, physical inventory and stock outs
  • Coordinate and manage all receipts, issues, freight bills, free stock and return goods memo
  • Conducts daily meetings with departmental personnel
  • Coordinates and participates in safety activities to include: crew meetings and accident investigation/corrective action
  • Coordinate ISO activities to include: training, audit preparation and corrective action
  • Coordinates the training activities of departmental personnel
  • Coordinate daily housekeeping activities
  • Assist with the supervision of departmental personnel
  • Manager inventory control cycle counts
  • Coordinate storeroom requisitions and confirm orders
  • Responds to operational questions and requests
  • Maintain and create standard and custom reports (SQL, Microsoft Excel)
  • Maintain appropriate warehouse security policies and safe work practices
  • Act as department liaison between maintenance, operations and purchasing
  • Schedule and evaluate the duties of storeroom employees
  • Assist with managing storeroom overtime
  • Prepare and post work schedules and monitor daily work activities
  • Receive and process requests for material and supplies from the storeroom and assure that items are delivered in an expeditious manner
  • Review work for accuracy, completeness and compliance with departmental rules and guidelines
  • Address issues, concerns and complaints from storeroom personnel as needed
  • Assist with storeroom description updates and changes
  • Assist in creating training manuals to be used by other departments regarding work-orders, pulling reports and other storeroom procedures
  • Research, handle and address storeroom issues or concerns
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Good verbal/written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Ability to multitask, managing multiple projects and meeting critical deadlines on a continuous basis
  • Strong organization skills

Required Experience

  • Three years of experience in a warehouse or storeroom function preferred
