The Role: 

This position will be responsible for the coordination and scheduling of all activities within the facility during shutdowns. The position is responsible for scheduling, organizing, and executing facility and maintenance shutdowns safely and efficiently, as well as performing and/or supporting planning activities related to shutdowns including specifying all plans and procedures as well as all other documentation necessary for safe and proper performance of maintenance and operational activities during this period.

Accountabilities:

·         Develop robust maintenance shutdown strategies that meet operational needs in the face of multiple competing priorities.  Follow outage management best practices and challenge stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met by resulting plans and schedules.

·         Work closely with operations, supervisors, and engineers to ensure that planned work packages maximize safety and efficiency while minimizing cost and identify improvement opportunities in the utilization of resources and materials.

·         Ensure proper change management procedures are followed with respect to all shutdown activities.

·         Optimize shutdown schedules (Gantt charts) with respect to critical path management and resource leveling to minimize downtime while maintaining a efficient and effective shutdown.

·         Ensure the availability of necessary materials, equipment, and personnel (including contractors) for the shutdown.

·         Track work execution as the primary point of contact and maintenance team authority during shutdowns to ensure that timelines and schedules are being met and highlight problem areas to be addressed and/or escalated to ensure successful on-time and on-budget completion of work. Facilitate regular meetings to review shutdown progress and address any issues.

·         Track and communicate all shutdown related KPIs.

·         Conduct post shutdown reviews with all stakeholders to critique and continually improve shutdown execution.

Qualifications and Experience:

·         Journeyperson Certification or Engineering Technology Diploma and 10 years of experience

·         Proven experience in maintenance planning within a complex industrial environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

·         Experience with SAP.

·         Experience with MS Project or similar project tracking software.

·         Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

 

Pay Range:   $104,325.00 - $139,100.00
