The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning all mechanical maintenance work, developing safe and effective job plans, and analyzing maintenance data to improve scheduling, execution, and overall equipment reliability. The planner ensures all documentation, procedures, and work packages support safe, efficient, and high‑quality maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate mechanical maintenance work requests and develop detailed job plans for corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Build and maintain weekly and long‑range maintenance schedules in coordination with Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Identify and secure all required materials, tools, parts, and documentation needed for work execution.
  • Maintain outage plans for assigned areas and support annual planning.
  • Create purchase requisitions and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of parts.
  • Sequence planned work to minimize equipment downtime and support production priorities.
  • Maintain a ready‑for‑schedule backlog; update BOMs, PM tasks, spare parts, and equipment criticality
  • Review completed PMs and work orders to ensure accuracy and capture improvements.
  • Support cost estimating for planned work, projects, and outages; track actual costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, permitting, isolations, and Control of Work processes.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors to define PM tasks, frequencies, labor needs, and documentation.
  • Provide field support during breakdowns, outages, call‑ins, and unplanned events as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience as a maintenance planner/scheduler using a CMMS.
  • Experience in reliability practices and predictive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with SAP, AutoCAD, or other drafting systems.
  • 4+ years of maintenance planning experience in a complex industrial environment
  • 4+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, including pumps, pulleys, and rotating equipment.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS (SAP) systems for work order management and parts tracking.
  • Strong organization, communication, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies.
  • OSHA 10 or 30‑hour certification.

Pay Range:   $78,450.00 - $104,600.00
