Title:  Sr. Occupational Health Nurse

The Sr. Occupational Health Nurse position reports directly to the Safety Manager and is responsible for supporting the Macon Mill’s safety and health efforts. Primary duties include:


  • Coordinate with the Safety Manager to implement Safety Response and Treatment Programs.
  • Triage and treat onsite injuries.
  • Conduct health training programs
  • Assists employees with onsite worker’s comp. injuries
  • Assists employees with personal health issues. Assists employees with locating doctors and treating facilities for personal health problems.  
  • Coordinates with employees, and supervisors to identify and correct potential existing health hazards.
  • Assists Safety Manager with Mill Worker’s Compensation program
  • Assists with implementation of mill Health and Safety Corrective Action Plans
  • Ability to supervise temporary staff as needed.
  • Ability to confidentially maintain health records. 



  • Current Georgia Registered Nursing Degree and License, or reciprocal.
  • Must have good knowledge and understanding of applicable OSHA laws and regulations.
  • Must have strong influencing and leadership skills.
  • Ability to Coordinate with Local Medical Providers to assure quality care for employees concerning Workers’ Compensation injuries and treatments.
  • Ability to coordinate with local medical providers to assure quality care and treatment for employees concerning personal injuries.
