JOB SUMMARY: Sort, transfer, and stack on pallets the cases of finished product. Reads
packaging specifications to ensure correct pallet type and arrangement of cases onto pallet
matches specification. They must understand and align business operations and finishing
department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI
business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
• Reads packaging specifications to ensure correct pallet type and arrangement of cases
onto pallet matches specification.
• Observes cases moving along conveyor to identify defective cases, or incorrect labeling.
• Turns selector switch on palletizer to control stacking arrangement of cases on pallet
and to transfer loaded pallet to delivery platform.
• Supplies loading equipment with empty pallets and slip sheets.
• Stops and restarts equipment to clear jams.
• Informs supervisor of equipment malfunction.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs chest height.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Must be able to work other shifts if needed and perform overtime work as required.
• Must have the ability to read, write and speak English. Must have excellent
communication skills, communicating with people at all levels throughout the
organization.
• Qualified candidate will be mechanically inclined, solution oriented and some computer
knowledge.
