The person who occupies this position is responsible for facilitating PMs for the printing department as well as the being the technical expert on various press components. This individual will be the department subject matter expert. They must be willing to roll up their sleeves and to get their hands dirty.

The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the essential functions of this job.  The list is not exhaustive, as all positions at Graphic Packaging are dynamic.  The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any/all duties assigned by Management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list.

  • Serves as the point person for press department PM’s. Ensures all operator tasks are completed as well as oversees both maintenance and press personnel while work is being performed.
  • Works with management on continuous improvement projects related to press efficiency and uptime.
  • Works closely with vendors brought into the facility for press repairs.
  • Coordinates press repairs with scheduling.
  • Works with press operators and plant maintenance to troubleshoot issues.
  • SME for press repairs such as deck leveling and works with maintenance to make improvements to existing equipment.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual capable of working alone as well as leading others.
  • Someone that has experience in complex machine repair.
  • PLC and controls experience a plus
  • Have strong mechanical skills with the ability to read assembly drawings.
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Associates in Mechanical Engineering preferred
