GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB:
To pack folded and glued cartons or flat packed cartons according to the packing specification provided in the Finishing job bag. To periodically visually inspect handfuls of glued cartons for Printing, Cutting or Gluing defects and report those defects to the machine Operator. Feed folder/gluer as instructed and visually inspected for any quality defects. Apply ISO and SQF principles and techniques effectively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Pack cartons into the specified corrugated and labeled cases per the packing specification.
- Inspect cartons for defects and report defects to the machine operator.
- Place a tag at the beginning of the compression belt at a machine stop.
- To remove any glued and tagged cartons at a machine stop.
- To ensure the area around the glue machine is cleared of all cartons once a job is completed and the cartons taken to the bins or baler.
- Assist in labeling cases.
- Make sure the case count is correct to the specification.
- Initial each case packed with their initials.
- Ensures that the layer and divider boards used are correct to the specification.
- Feed folder/gluer as required
- Perform other related duties as directed by the Plant Manager.

Pushing and Pulling – required occasionally throughout the work day at an average pace.

Depth Perception – Frequent required to judge distances and relationships between objects
accurately.

Hearing – Frequent required to perceive the nature of sounds by ear.
Talking – Frequent required to express ideas through the spoken word (English)
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide- understand implied instructions.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Reasonable care needed to prevent minor injuries to others.
- Read, understand, and follow all safety rules and practices. Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe actions.
ATTENDANCE REQUIRMENTS: Regular attendance is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Fair working conditions exist due to the manufacturing processes, but only one or two continuously present – dirt, lint, odors, heat.
