MISSION / SUMMARY: 

We are looking for a process and data-driven Manager to lead our Continuous Improvement Team and to lead the execution of the implementation of Graphic Production System (Foodservice CI Program) this individual is responsible for the successful implementation of GPS and its foundations across all the GPI Foodservice plants. This individual serves as a change agent and coach for the Plant CI Leaders and the plants leadership teams on effective deployment, execution and sustainment of GPS. This individual also facilitates, coach and track effectiveness of the Foodservice Technology Owners network. 

 

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the implementation and sustainment of GPS and its foundations as part of the GPI operational excellence program
  • Develop and keep up to date on the GPS implementation plan and its foundations, to support each site, in achieving their goals/initiatives/metrics.
  • Ensure the GPS implementation plan is aligned with leadership to support the Operational Master Plan.
  • Owns all GPS practices and tools effectiveness, i.e., (Daily Management, Basic /Advanced Problem Solving, etc.) including their integration into Daily Routines as well as other systems, tools, processes as they relate to GPS and Operations Excellence
  • Implement a process to assure effective best practice sharing and accelerate mutual progress across plants and technologies, coaches and identifies improvement opportunities in the Technology networks
  • Partners with internal and external resources in the development and execution of the overall GPS roadmap implementation across Foodservice to deliver business results in all SQPCDM areas
  • Provides internal coaching to site leadership teams on GPS implementation to make breakthrough improvements on OEE/Site Capacity and Cost optimization. Strong skills in clearly communicating the why (intent) and the how (execution)
  • Drive productivity and efficiency gains through the reduction of Machine and Material losses to contribute to yearly cost optimization, productivity and critical OEE goals using GPS tools and processes
  • Responsible to champion a culture of empowerment and rigor through GPS governance and measures at all levels through operational reviews.
  • Track/understand GPS impact on the business priorities (results connected with business e.g., OPEX savings triggered by problem-solving activities) and achievements of GPS (e.g., individual/team success stories) to identify potential adjustments / improvements to be implemented
  • Deliver appropriate training and coaching to transfer GPS knowledge to plant CI leaders; perform regular coaching visits to the Plants, ensuring the correct application of methods and knowledge sharing.
  • Coach and mentor plant CI leads on GPS strategy & implementation, best practices, and the role of an CI Leader in a GPS environment
  • Benchmark internally and externally. Be familiar with and drive the organization toward standards that exceed recognized industry best practices.
  • Key Partner in Selecting, training, and managing resources within the Operations and Plants Technology owners
  • Develop a capability building strategy and its training solutions to advance critical competences across the workforce and to infuse a continuous improvement culture across all levels of the organization.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing
  • MS in engineering preferably
  • A minimum of 7 years working experience in manufacturing or other related industry in operations or continuous improvement roles.
  • Strong analytical mindset, project management experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of Change Management.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to be well organized.

  • Required Experience

     Qualification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Successful experience in implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and CI across multiple plants.
    • Experience in 6 sigma certification and/or TPM demonstrated mastery.
    • Strong capabilities and practical application of AM and TPM Education & Training Systems, and tools as well as Daily Management System.
    • Experience in leading project teams and departments successfully.
