Job Summary:

Position is intended to assist the Sheeter Operators in their duties to allow increased efficiencies on the machines.  The employee will perform the auxiliary duties related to the Good strong Sheeters as well as carry out many other responsibilities within the operation.  The vast majority of the job duties will be done on the floor, and there will be one Sheeter Helper/Utility person working between the two machines.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Get rolls for Sheeters and load the roll stands.
  2. Pull sheeted loads from delivery and stage in an organized manner.
  3. Band and wrap sheeted loads being sent to outside customers.
  4. Split cores, stack core plugs, unwrap rolls, and perform other required duties.
  5. Unload roll trucks as necessary.
  6. Operate the baler used when slitting rolls.
  7. Clean department as needed.
  8. Participate in any tasks necessary to allow for continuous operation of the process.
  9. Capable of lifting in excess of 75 lbs.
  10. Capable of safely operating roll lift trucks.
  11. Follow all Plant Safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
  12. Monitor the level of quality in the products being produced.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Collect Statistical Process Control (SPC) Data as required.
  2. Participate in Continuous Process Improvement Activities as required.
  3. Follow all guidelines related to the AIB certification.

 

Qualifications:

Basic math, reading writing and computer data entry skills are required to perform this job.  The ability to accurately read a tape measure to within 1/32” is a critical qualification.  Lift truck license is required for this classification.
