SUMMARY:

The Continuous Improvement Analyst supports the sustainment, development, and implementation of GPS (Graphic Production System). This person identifies, manages, and implements continuous improvement activities for the GPS scope of work. Applying their skills, knowledge and experience, the successful candidate will assist management with transforming reliable data into knowledge, optimizing processes; and empowering teams to solve problems and make fact-based decisions. As a key contributor to the success of GPS, the candidate will utilize continuous improvement tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, kaizen, behavioral and facilitation techniques) and work across all operations functions and levels of the organization.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data from processes and metrics and recommend actions to close process gaps across the project
  • Facilitate teams to consensus and action
  • Manage initiatives to successful implementation
  • Ensure a risk-based approach to the prioritization of CI activities, aligned with business needs
  • Scope, plan, select the appropriate tools, implement, and manage improvement activities
  • Communicate and share improvements for mutual benefit
  • Institutionalize a lean continuous improvement and six sigma mindset while successfully leading data collection projects
  • Train, coach and develop plant leaders and technicians, management and their respective teams utilizing lean continuous improvement, project management and business integration skills
  • Provide service excellence by identifying and resolving key business issues
  • Implement Shop Floor Management and layered process audits to sustain improvement results
  • Lead multi-functional teams in the identification, implementation, and sustenance of process improvements in alignment with the overall business strategy.
  • Update GPS dashboard and report key metrics weekly/monthly to plant and corporate management
  • Utilize problem solving methodology to lead RRCA and Process Certification teams
  • Lead advanced Kaizen Events and VSM (mix model, shared resources), TPM, Setup Reduction, QCPC, 3P, 5S, Manufacturing Standard Work Teams, LSW etc.
  • Coach and mentor CI Practitioners and Associates
  • Serve as the subject matter expert to all business functions as it relates to lean principles, continuous improvement, and systems thinking

 

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

 

  • Excellent Problem solving and trouble shooting skills and the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Demonstrated Capability in following competencies: Tactical Leadership, Communications,
  • Teamwork, Customer Focus, Change Management, Focus on Results and Ability to influence
  • Possess effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and rapidly changing business environment
  • Ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation
  • Advanced understanding of the CI operating system or application of continuous improvement culture, tools and competency, as well as its criteria and assessment process
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green (LSSGB) or Black Belt (LSSBB) from a reputed company is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Business Operations / Finance / Management
  • 5 years of progressive experience in process excellence, quality, continuous improvement.
  • Breadth of knowledge of complex Lean Six Sigma tools, methodology & statistical analysis
  • Knowledge & understanding of the high technology / software industry business models & core processes
  • Ideally Change Management certified professional – Prosci - ADKAR, Kotter
