Shift: night shift with flexibility to support mornings, afternoons, rotating 12-hour shifts, weekends, statutory holidays, overtime, and on-call coverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper operation of manufacturing equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, drives, PLC’s, pumps, pneumatic tools, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and manufacturer's instructions.

 

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and drawings.

 

  • Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, electrical and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and up-time

 

  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

 

  • Work closely with area operators to resolve maintenance related issues with the ability to communicate the issues and resolutions to Operators, Managers and Peers directly or via email.

 

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in an industrial setting.

 

  • Inspect electrical components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair to resolve quality and safety issues.

 

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

 

  • Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes and safety regulations.

 

  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to support continuous operation.

 

  • Provide input on energy efficiency and equipment upgrades.

 

  • Participate in root cause analysis of recurring electrical issues.

 

  • Responsible for shift pass down to oncoming technicians.

 

  • Maintain maintenance log and keep it current at the end of each shift.

 

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

 

  • Other duties as assigned and required.

 

 Safe Quality Food Responsibilities for all employees:

 

  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.

 

  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.

 

  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.

 

  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).

 

  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation

 

 Qualifications & Education

  • Must be Red Seal Industrial Electrician

 

  • 5+ years of experience in a production environment preferred

 

  • Experience with PLC/Controls/Electronics, PLC Automaton Controls

 

  • Ability to work in a demanding environment, with multiple projects, while meeting deadlines safely

 

  • Critical thinking
  • Ability to interact with customers, co-workers, and managers in a professional manner

 

  • Complex problem solving

 

  • Must be a collaborator

 

  • Expected to supply a standard industrial set of tools. The company will supply specialty tooling

 

 Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Sitting, standing for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours

 

  • Awkward and/or repetitive movements

 

  • Climbing, stooping, bending, and overhead reaching

 

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.

 

  • Noisy/hot environment

 

  • Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment
