We are a folding carton manufacturing plant looking for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude to join our Finishing Department as a Feeder Adjuster/Gluer Operator.

Job Summary

Responsible for operation of Folding/Gluing equipment

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Adjusts and runs the gluing machine in the Finishing Department
  • Feeds Gluer
  • Assist on make-readies
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping, production sheets.
  • Responsible for quality of product and efficiency of production.
  • Communicates relevant information to facilitate the flow of production.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Perform make ready’s on all straight line and auto-bottom boxes
  • General clean up.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Attends and participates in ongoing training.
  • Not limited to and including other duties as assigned.
  • Willing to work weekly rotational shifts

Qualifications and Skills

  • Grade 12 validated preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast pace and demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and hand eye co-ordination
  • On-the-job training required and/or related experience
  • Able to work independently or as a team member

Working Conditions

  • Overtime may be required
  • Fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Safety shoes required on the production floor

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
