The Operator, Media II is the crew chief. It is the Operator’s responsibility to ensure:

  1. That these procedures are understood and followed by all applicable personnel.
  2. That all equipment is in suitable condition and is appropriately crewed.
  3. That at all safety checks are performed daily.
  4. Best possible quality glued cartons are being produced.
  5. Best possible productivity levels are being achieved.
  6. Proper maintenance and preventative maintenance of the machine and its systems.
  7. Proper maintenance and storage of all tooling.
  8. The crew is being trained to upgrade their skills.
  9. That all quality requirements are in compliance.

 

The Operator’s duty is to set-up and operate the Bobst Media II gluing machine, and instruct the crew as required. The Operator must produce, properly glued, unmixed, accurately counted finished cartons, palletized and identified on appropriate skids. The Operator must complete all documentation associated with each Work Order. The Operator must maintain the Bobst Media III gluing machine in optimal running and safe condition with scheduled lubrication, cleaning tasks, tune-ups, preventative maintenance and logging and documentation of all such activities.
