Position Description:
- The Roll Stand Operator helps the Sheeter Operator set up and run the sheeter.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare rolls and make splices for the sheeter
- Remove cover and scrap from rolls
- Stack and maintain core plugs.
- Helps with make-ready for the sheeter.
- Operates sheeter during breaks.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Valid Forklift License
- General clean up.
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
- Attends and participates in ongoing training.
- Not limited to and including other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
- Grade 12 or acceptable experience
- On-the-job training required and/or related experience
Skills and Physical Requirement:
- Employees must be both familiar and able to adhere to company safety policies and government legislation (i.e. Occupational Health and Safety Act).
- Respects individuals, the organization, authority, the community and the team.
- Forklift/Walkie license
- Ability to work in teams.
- Autonomous.
- Ability to adapt.
- Ability to take initiative.
- Good communication skills.
- Good physical condition and capable of heavy lifting.
- Standing, lifting, twisting/bending, repetitive motion
- Strong trouble shooting skills.

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities for all employees:
- Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
- Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
- Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
- Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
- Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
