Manufacturing Coordinator

The Manufacturing Coordinator role serves as a critical cross-functional resource within the packaging facility, providing support to multiple departments to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production operations. This role partners closely with Finance, Production Control, Operations, Quality, Human Resources, Health & Safety, and Plant Leadership to drive operational performance, improve processes, and maintain compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilites

  • Support daily production activities to ensure schedules, output, and efficiency targets are met
  • Collaborate with Production Control to align staffing, materials, and production plans
  • Support Finance with data collection, reporting, and cost tracking (labor, scrap, efficiency)
  • Partner with Quality to ensure adherence to product specifications and compliance standards
  • Prepare reports for Plant Leadership to support decision-making
  • Support implementation of standardized work practices across the facility
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
  • Support Health & Safety initiatives, audits, and incident investigations
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with staffing coordination, onboarding, and training support
  • Partner with HR on employee relations, attendance tracking, and workforce planning
  • Support employee engagement and communication initiatives
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to plant leadership team
  • Assist with strategic initiatives, project tracking, and plant communications
  • Follows standardized procedures and practices.
  • Receives regular, but moderate supervision and guidance.
  • Contacts are typically with individuals within own department; occasionally outside own
    organization.
  • Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or
    interpretation.
  • General supervision and instruction; detailed instructions given for new assignments or special
    assignments.
  • Work is manual/routine in nature, but involves decision making responsibility for applying the
    appropriate course of action.
  • Work is normally performed in accordance with procedures/ processes.

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities for all employees:

  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of
    Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in
    unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits,
    validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to
    record and/or correct the situation.

Education & Experience

  • High School Education + 2 years related experience
  • Experience in a packaging or consumer goods environment is a plus

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communciation and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

Phycial & Work Environment

  • Primarily based in a manufacturing/plant environment
  • May require time on the production floor supporting operations
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support production schedules

Pay Range:   $42,400.00 - $53,000.00
