Title:  Engineer, Electrical III

  • Provide engineering support and project management for capital projects and major repair projects.
  • Travel, including internationally as required (up to 30%).
  • Create, maintain and keep current documentation and electronic versions of all electrical and pneumatic schematics including panel layouts, PLC, HMI and Servo Drives programs.
  • Provide expertise in PLC Control Systems and Programming in the development and troubleshooting of Electrical and Automation Control Systems.
  • Design circuit and layout drawings of control and power panels in accordance with NEC and corporate standards
  • Coordinate with engineering and shop personnel on existing machine control modifications to robotic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Assist shop personnel in checking or trouble shooting equipment as required.
  • Coordinate project installations with Maintenance and contractors.
  • Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Hands on technical capability, but good communication skills to delegate assignments.
  • Familiar with NEC Codes.
  • SolidWorks Electrical and AutoCAD design experience.
  • Proficient with Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Bosch-Rexroth PLC and HMI Programming.
  • Experience with programming Variable Frequency and Servo Motor systems.
  • Experience with SCADA systems and data communication.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards. 
  • Strong organization and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivation to keep up with current electrical advances using new technologies.
  • Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to do wiring tasks.

Required Experience

  • 5 years industrial Electrical Engineering experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
