The Reliability Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing   and sustaining reliability plans and programs to reduce unscheduled equipment downtime and improve overall process reliability. 

 JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

  • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Program Owner
    • Manage PM / PdM Maintenance Resources (Vibration and Lubrication)
    • Develop, implement, improve and manage predictive maintenance programs including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, ultrasound, motor circuit analysis, lubrication analysis.
    • Develop, implement improve and manage preventive maintenance programs including equipment lubrication, facility preservation and time based inspection.
    • Manage asset specific preventive and predictive maintenance plans through SAP to ensure tasks effectively manage failure risk, are cost effective and sustainable.
  • Reliability Data Owner
    • SAP/CMMS data owner monitoring data integrity and resolving issues through policies, procedures, training and coaching.
    • Analyze downtime to identify chronic/sporadic failures and lead reliability improvement efforts.
    • Develop and publish weekly, monthly and annual reliability metrics to assist maintenance group in monitoring:
    • Review and critique outage and PM execution to identify obstacles and recommend improvements.
  • Reliability/Engineering Project Manager
    • Lead RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) process to identify root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Troubleshoot chronic issues and develop action plans to minimize impact on equipment availability.
    • Develop, implement and sustain reliability best practices to reduce unscheduled maintenance downtime and costs.
    • Participate in project review for reliability deliverables during design, installation, startup and operation phases.
  • Facilities Management
    • Manage plant infrastructure including:
      • Compressed Air
      • Water (Potable and Process)
      • Fire Systems

Required Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet research skills.
  • CMMS proficiency; SAP experience a plus.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities and drive results.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical preferred or equivalent relevant work experience, preferably in Folding Carton industry.
  • 3 years working in Reliability Engineering including Predictive Maintenance, Root Cause Failure Analysis and Maintenance Planning and Scheduling.
  • Proven track record of identifying opportunities and the ability to recommend and implement improvements.
