Title:  2nd Shift Plant Supervisor

Position Purpose

  • Direct and coordinate the day-to-day shift activities, by providing leadership and supervision to 2nd shift team members.


Job Functions

  • Encourage and lead team members to work in a safe manner and to seek improvement in work practices for their benefit
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and support Safety Supervisor in achieving plant safety goals
  • Utilize knowledge and experience to provide training to team members
  • Help team achieve goals and responsible for personnel issues, including discipline, as needed
  • Provide assistance to the team with problem resolution
  • Oversee scheduling, material handling issues and maintenance, as well as resolving production issues
  • Provide a communication network between team members and other shifts
  • Ensure product quality, production efficiencies, and overall productivity meets or exceeds established standards, and is directly accountable for expenditures exceeding budgeted levels
  • Strive to be technically proficient on the machinery in the plant
  • Participate in Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, validation, and verification activities) as required

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Required Skills

Required Skills:

  • Leadership experience and/or attributes, including the ability to motivate people to perform at high levels
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic computer skills, including email and data entry


Essential Job Functions

  • Able to work 9 hours a day with frequent OT on Saturdays
  • Monday - Friday 2:30 pm – 11:30 pm
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs

Required Experience


  • 3-5 years of supervisor experience required
  • Paperboard packaging experience preferred



  • High School Diploma or GED
