Interns are responsible for providing support to the assigned Department Managers.  Must be able to solve problems and make good, timely decisions, exhibit company core values, and be a change agent for continuous improvement. Interns will work on process improvement projects.  A successful candidate will assist in driving best practices in safe operations, will be a self-starter, and willing to take initiative to move forward with ideas.  The individuals we seek will be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in:  Paper Engineering, Graphics, Technology, Manufacturing, Management or Human Resources), have strong computer skills - Microsoft Office and Access are a plus, and have a working knowledge of Printing and Packaging.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct tests to evaluate potential process improvements
  • Research process equipment, including: obtaining quotes, coordinating product trials, and making recommendations for improvement
  • Assist in writing standard operating procedures and training manuals
  • Provide engineering support as needed
  • Present to leadership on progress of project(s)
