  • Demonstrates commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with our policies and procedures
  • Responsible for set-up and maintenance of the press
  • Examines job order to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors, and special printing instructions
  • Applies packing sheet to blanket cylinders to build up blanket thickness to diameter of plate cylinder
  • Measures paper thickness and adjusts space between blanket and impression cylinder
  • Starts press, examines printed copy for ink density, position on paper and registration and makes computer adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density
  • Makes adjustments to feeder and delivery mechanism
  • Removes and replaces worn rollers and adjusts pressure between rollers of press
  • Ensures company quality and production standards are met
  • Leads, gives direction to, and trains press crew
  • Completes end-of-shift reports and ensures accuracy of data entered into SAP
  • Ensures information is communicated between shifts
  • Performs job duties in accordance with company safety rules
  • Performs all required maintenance of the press
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

 

Job Specifications

  • 2-5 years large format Litho press printing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the mechanics and capabilities of the press
  • Ability to accurately distinguish color variation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Ability to understand technical written instructions
  • Ability to direct and mentor a team
  • Frequent lifting and bending
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to communicate with customers to explain the printing process when necessary
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excelling time management skills
  • Superior housekeeping skills
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Ability to work all shifts and overtime as needed
