Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for safe and efficient transport of finished goods for outbound shipments and proper receiving procedures for incoming deliveries.

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating required Powered Industrial Vehicles, prioritizing both driver and pedestrian safety. Must be able to judge space and distance and be aware of surroundings.

Job Functions:

Complies with all company and department safety, quality, productivity, and security procedures
Conducts necessary forklift inspections according to policy
Ensures quality of the job and performs quality checks at set intervals
Responsible for reviewing and preparing all shipments according to schedule
Works with incoming and outbound trucking companies on scheduled pick-ups and deliveries
Responsible for loading and unloading of shipments
Ensures proper storage and warehousing of materials
Delivers materials required for each department
Reviews documentation for accuracy prior shipping or receiving any material
Communicates company safety policy and procedures to all visitors and contractors in the warehouse
Maintains a clean and safe warehouse environment
Completes additional duties that may be required to maintain a safe, productive workplace

Position Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Ability to visually inspect trucks and products that are delivered to the plant
Ability to safely operate a forklift or other PIV
Basic computer skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience in a warehouse environment
Previous forklift certification
