Job Description:

Performs a wide variety of duties to prepare, operate and maintain the lithographic printing presses in the Printing Department.

1. Oversee the operation of the printing press by directing the crew consisting of a Feeder Operator. 

2. Ability to follow/interpret written and verbal instructions on the job ticket.

3. Verify that the product being produced is the correct copy and color. 

4. Achieve an acceptable color OK using a supplied standard and/or ink swatch.

5. Monitor and maintain the color of the product being printed by adjusting the ink and water distribution to achieve optimum results. 

6. Perform preventative maintenance as required on the printing press. 

7. Participate in any tasks necessary to allow for the continuous operation of the printing press.
