Job Summary

Exciting HR Intern Opportunity at Graphic Packaging International! Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of manufacturing excellence? Look no further! Graphic Packaging International is seeking an enthusiasic and motivated HR Intern to join our team!

 

Responsibilities

 

Recruiting:

  • Post, update, and remove job ads from career site
  • Screen resumes against posted positions
  • Schedule applicant interviews with appropriate manager
  • Move candidate through onboarding process via Success Factors
  • Conduct new hire orientations
  • Point of contact for temp services

Administrative:

  • File documents and answers employee inquiries
  • Process employee reimbursement requests
  • Create new hire books for orientations
  • Update digital communication signs in plant
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required.

Projects:

  • Organize an employee volunteer event
  • Organize an employee activity
  • Evaluate job descriptions, compare to best practices & Corporate JDs
  • Clean up local electronic HR drive
  • Create partnership with local high schools for career day events
  • Create partnership with local job fair administrator and set up regular schedule for fairs

 

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a university or college program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include Human Resources, Business Management, or related
  • Proficient in MS Office 
  • Able to demonstrate professional work ethic
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters and understand company policies.
