Title:  Forklift Driver/Inventory

Pay Grade: 

Drives liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, clamps, elevating platform to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.

 

  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, or over loaded pallets, skids, boxes, or products, and transports load to designated area.
  • Loads, unloads and stacks material, either raw material from inbound or completed product for outbound or inventory.
  • Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed.
  • Records load information on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
  • Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
  • Daily inventory counts
  • Verifying inventory needed for production
  • Receiving inbound product for production
  • Pulling and staging product for production
  • Working with the production team on product needed to be pull daily
  • Verify that return product is labeled correctly

Required Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize duties.
  • Ability to be self-motivated.

Required Experience

  • Inventory experience
  • Excel experience
  • General computer knowledge
  • Fork lift experience, 2-5 years
  • SAP experience a plus
