Process Engineer
JOB SUMMARY:
Manufacturing Production Process Engineering focuses on designing, developing, and implementing
new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods including:
Designing arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
Designing the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable
tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions. Conducting tests
throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and
troubleshooting/solving production problems. Providing guidance to product design engineering on
technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensuring that
production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Individuals in these roles primarily focus on directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others,
and mobilizing resources.
Responsible for the monitoring and achievement of operational and/or financial results for their
area of responsibility.
Responsible for people management actions such as rewarding, training, and
developing employees.
Progression within the levels reflects increase in scope and responsibilities as well as growth in
business and industry experience, process and people leadership capabilities, and broad technical
expertise.
Supervises entry level and experienced professionals and potentially para-professional
employees.
Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
Works on issues of general scope.
Problems faced may be difficult but typically not overly complex.
Analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of various factors and a general understanding
of principles in own discipline and potentially a basic knowledge of other disciplines.
Supports team with day-to-day activities.
Applies general understanding of the business and coordinates with other areas to achieve
department objectives.
Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports,
customers, and stakeholders.
Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements.
Assignments are defined by activities and objectives; work is reviewed for completeness and for
adequacy in meeting objectives.
Decisions impact work processes and outcomes.
Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules and potentially
expenditure of resources.
Interacts frequently with internal personnel and may interact occasionally with external
personnel.
Participates and presents at meetings with internal representatives.
Interaction typically concerns exchanging information and/or scheduling issues.
Safe Quality Food Responsibilities for all employees:
Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of
Safe Quality Foods.
Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in
unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits,
validation, and verification activities) as required.
Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to
record and/or correct the situation.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or related work experience required in lieu of degree.
The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or

Pay Range: $84,200.00 - $112,200.00
