POSITION SUMMARY

 

Manufacturing Production manages or assists with managing various production activities (e.g.,

assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.) including: Planning,

directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules,

volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards. Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Safety, Supply &

Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources.

Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions.

  

 

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Individuals in these roles primarily focus on directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others, and mobilizing resources.

 

Responsible for people management actions such as safety, hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.

 

Progression within the levels reflects increase in scope and responsibilities as well as growth in business and industry experience, process and people leadership capabilities, and broad technical expertise.

 

Coaches and address performance related issues following progressive discipline for safety, quality, performance, training and attendance.

 

 Supervises entry-level or semi-skilled hourly employees such as production, craft, and clerical workers.

 

Requires understanding and application of established procedures and full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility.

 

 Uses judgment to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.

Applies operational business practices and coordinates with other closely related areas to improve efficiency.

  • Assignments are largely established in accordance with schedules and deliverables; work is reviewed for accuracy and completeness.

 

MANAGERIAL / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Interpret company polices to employees, enforces all safety regulations.

 

Responsible for new Employee instructions.

 

Assign jobs and scheduled employees.

 

Resolve issues with employees.

 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

 

High school education or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Supervisory

Experience.

 

Exposure to manufacturing environment and loud noise; Hearing protection

required at times.

 

Equal amounts of time spent sitting, standing, bending, and lifting/moving.

 

Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures.

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

 

Read and write English; Understand spreadsheets.

 

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication.

Pay Range:   $71,250.00 - $95,000.00
