KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Identify materials used and know their proper storage area.

 

Maintain and clean forklifts.

 

Transport blanks and board.

 

Maintain accuracy of inventory.

 

Assure all labels are correct.

 

Properly palletize and store all finished and raw materials.

 

Fill and wash containers with proper chemicals.

 

Function as a stacker or roll tender as needed.

 

Maintain clean work environment.

 

Maintain a safe working environment at all times.

 

Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pressman and Press Supervisor.

 

 


Required Skills

High school education or GED equivalent; Mechanically inclined; or equivalent combination of education and

experience.

 

Certified and safely operate clamp truck.

 

Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls;

reach with hands and arms.

 

Good hand -eye coordination is essential.

 

Required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

 

Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

 

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and normal color vision.

 

Frequently exposed to fumes, or dust.

 

Regularly works near moving mechanical parts. 

 

The noise level is usually loud.  

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

 

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

 

Write simple sentences.

 

Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

 

Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions,

and decimals.
