ISSION / SUMMARY
This role is designed to supervise the 3rd (11PM - 7AM) shift operations of the Printing/Blanking Department at the Pittston Plant in safety, engagement, productivity, and quality. This individual will direct and coordinate the department's day-to-day shift activities by providing leadership and supervision to direct reports. They understand and align business operations and the Printing/Blanking Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI’s business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for and resolved all safety issues within their assigned areas.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors that build an environment of trust and personal integrity.
Establish or adjust work procedures to maximize production.
Assist in troubleshooting to maintain the efficient production of quality products.
Complete all paperwork necessary for shift employees and production.
Check the production schedule for product changes.
Ensure enough product is on hand to complete the shift.
Routinely conduct discussions with each employee to provide feedback on their performance and understand their desires for personal development.
Any other duties assigned by management.
MANAGERIAL / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Interpret company policies for employees and enforce all safety regulations.
Responsible for new employee instructions.
Assign jobs and schedule employees.
Resolve issues with employees.
